Plywood Supply greatly enjoys helping those performing various community projects and outreaches. Though we may not be able to help everyone with their worthy causes, our primary focus is on the unique ways we help our community listed below.

Youth - In 1995, we began opening our facility to youth-oriented organizations, such as Young Life, and school groups to create fundraising opportunities. The youth work together while earning money for their causes (summer camps, trips to Mexico to help build communities, etc.) As you can see from the pictures, the youth have a great time with their peers and share in a new experience with one another.

Rampathon - The Master Builder Association adopted a program initiated by Norm Hutchens in 1990 then called "Rampathon USA". His vision was to build ramps for those lacking mobility, freeing them from the confinement of their own living place. Our local MBA Remodelers Council and Care Foundation began this same outreach in 1993 with the construction of 5 ramps, which now has grown to well over 200. Since this program's inception, Plywood Supply has donated almost all of the non-skid plywood for the finished surface of the ramps. This community outreach could not be accomplished without the giving by professional builders, material suppliers and the community at large donating their time, material and resources to this cause.

Charities - Since 1960, we annually ask our customers, suppliers and associates to identify their favorite charities via a return card distributed with our Christmas cards. We identify the top 5 charities from the responses, and make a donation to each.

The following represent those organizations we regularly contribute to.

  • American Cancer Society
  • Edmonds School District Carpentry Program
  • Inglemoor High School Key Club
  • Lynnwood Rotary
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation
  • Northshore YMCA
  • Northwest Harvest
  • Rampathon by Master Builders Care Foundation
  • Salvation Army
  • Seattle Emergency Housing
  • Snohomish County Volunteer Search & Rescue
  • Young Life of Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood

Most individuals and groups want to support charities and worthy organizations. There are many ways to accomplish this. For some it may be financial and for others it may be dedicating their time and talent. Whatever your gift is we encourage you to step forward and share with others in your community. So often the gift is simply investing your time and effort.
